OUR OPTOMETRIC PHYSICIANS

Dr. Arun Kaistha received his Doctor of Optometry degree at the State University of New York (SUNY), State College of Optometry in 2003, where he was Student Council President and received the esteemed Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence. He then completed advanced training in low vision, contact lens fitting, glaucoma and treatment of eye diseases at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia (Salus University). He also served as a clinical supervisor and lab instructor for first, second and third year optometry students at The Eye Institute.  Dr. Kaistha is a member of the American Optometric Association and New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians.  He has been living and working in South Jersey since finishing his residency training in 2004. Dr. Kaistha prides himself in treating his staff and patients like family and with great respect and appreciation.  He has been married to Dr. Rupal Patel Kaistha, who is also an Optometrist, since 2003 and they have three wonderful children together.

Dr. Rupal Patel Kaistha received her Doctor of Optometry degree at the State University of New York, State College, State College of Optometry in 2004 where she served as Class Vice President. She has since been practicing in the South Jersey area. She was born in Zambia, Africa and has lived in India, Texas and Canada. Dr. Kaistha is a licensed therapeutic who offers comprehensive optometric care, including pediatric and geriatric eye exams. She has advance training in all types of contact lens modalities. She manages macular degeneration, glaucoma, ocular emergencies, cataracts and all eye conditions, including complications of hypertension, diabetes and other systemic conditions.  She is a compassionate and caring doctor, wife and mother of three.  She enjoys movies, healthy eating and excercise, travel and family time. Dr. Rupal Kaistha is a member of the American Optometric Association and New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians.

Dr. Sofija Liza Jenza has always believed that great eye care starts with truly listening to your patients. She earned her Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry, where she served as Executive Student Council President and graduated with honors. She has been caring for patients in the South Jersey and Philadelphia areas since 2023.

Dr. Liza (Lee-za) brings a patient-first philosophy to every exam, combining clinical thoroughness with empathy and a commitment to patient education. Prior to graduating optometry school, she completed internships across a range of clinical settings — including VA medical centers in Philadelphia and Providence and a community health center in Lynn, Massachusetts — giving her a broad foundation in diverse patient populations and needs.

A dedicated advocate for the profession, Dr. Liza is an active member of the American Academy of Optometry, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, the New Jersey Society of Optometrists, and the Philadelphia County Optometric Society. She is passionate about mentorship and making eye care more accessible for everyone.

Outside of work, you’ll probably find Dr. Liza in Fishtown trying out new restaurants with her husband, thrift shopping, and attending live music events.
